Photo & signature specs
Photos and signatures that break SSC’s rules are a common reason for rejection. As per the CHSL 2026 notice:
| Upload | Format | Size |
|---|---|---|
| Photograph | Live photo captured in the form | — |
| Signature | JPEG/JPG scan, about 2 cm high | 10–20 KB |
Capture the photo in good light against a plain background, with the camera at eye level and your face fully inside the frame — no cap, mask or spectacles. Capturing a photo of an existing photograph leads to rejection. Applications made with Aadhaar-based authentication are not rejected on photo or signature grounds (notice para 9.3–9.6).
