CHSL 2026 vacancy at a glance
The CHSL 2026 notification (7 September 2026) lists about 2,536 tentative vacancies. SSC will fix the final number after checking the documents sent by the user departments, and will publish the post-wise and category-wise split later.
Category-wise split — CHSL 2025 (final)
SSC has not yet released the CHSL 2026 category-wise split. For reference, this is how the CHSL 2025 final vacancies (as on 18 June 2026) were divided:

CHSL 2025 (final). Within these: ESM 301, OH 35, HH 43, VH 39, Other PwD 37. In the CHSL 2025 final result (7 Oct 2026), 3,515 candidates were recommended. The 2026 split will be different — check SSC’s tentative vacancy list once it is published.
Post & department spread
CHSL 2026 recruits for three posts (notification para 1). Post-wise counts for 2026 are not out yet; the CHSL 2025 final list shows how last year’s vacancies were spread.
LDC / JSA · Level 2
₹19,900–63,200. In CHSL 2025 (final), LDC/JSA and Clerk-cum-Typist posts made up 3,396 of the 3,522 vacancies; another 89 were Junior Health Administrative Assistant posts in CGHS.
DEO · Level 4/5
₹25,500–81,100 or ₹29,200–92,300. CHSL 2025 (final) had 24 DEO vacancies.
DEO Grade ‘A’ · Level 4
₹25,500–81,100. CHSL 2025 (final) had 13 such vacancies, all in the Staff Selection Commission.
